Things to Do in Nusa Lembongan : Activities, Water Sports & Island Life
From snorkeling with manta rays to exploring mangrove forests — the best activities to fill your days on Nusa Lembongan island.

Nusa Lembongan is small enough to explore in a day, but rich enough to keep you busy for a week. Here's what the island actually has to offer, beyond the Instagram spots.
Snorkeling and diving
The underwater world around Lembongan is the main reason most people come. The waters between Lembongan and its neighbour Nusa Penida are home to manta rays, reef sharks, sea turtles and some of the most vibrant coral in Southeast Asia. Manta Point is the signature dive site — mantas here are large, frequent and remarkably close. Crystal Bay offers calmer conditions and excellent visibility for beginners. Most dive operators offer half-day trips, PADI courses and snorkeling packages from around $25 USD.
Surfing
Lembongan has three surf breaks suited to different levels. Shipwrecks is the most famous, a left-hand reef break that works best at mid to high tide. Lacerations is faster and more powerful, best left to experienced surfers. Playgrounds is the friendliest of the three and a solid choice if you're just getting back on a board. Board rentals and surf guides are available along the main strip in Jungut Batu.
The mangrove forest
One of the most underrated experiences on the island. A short paddle through the mangrove channels by kayak gives you a completely different side of Lembongan — quiet, green and alive with birds. Tours typically last one to two hours and can be arranged through your accommodation.
Dream Beach and Devil's Tear
On the southwestern tip of the island, Dream Beach lives up to its name — white sand, powerful waves and very few people compared to Bali's beaches. A ten-minute walk further brings you to Devil's Tear, a cliff formation where waves crash dramatically into the rocks and send spray ten metres into the air. Worth timing for late afternoon light.
Exploring by scooter
The island is small enough to cross in under twenty minutes on a scooter. Renting one for the day, around $7 to $10 USD, lets you move freely between beaches, warung lunches and viewpoints at your own pace. The road to the suspension bridge connecting Lembongan to Nusa Ceningan is one of the better rides on the island.
Nusa Ceningan
Cross the yellow suspension bridge and you're on Lembongan's quieter sister island. Ceningan has fewer tourists, a handful of good cafés and the famous Blue Lagoon cliff jump — spectacular to watch even if you don't jump.
Food and evenings
The island doesn't do nightlife in the Seminyak sense, and that's a feature not a bug. Evenings here mean fresh grilled fish at a beachside warung, a Bintang at sunset, and early nights before another day in the water. A handful of beach clubs including Sandy Bay and Mahana Point offer a more polished setting if you want one.
