The only way to reach Nusa Lembongan is by boat. There are no bridges, no airports, and honestly, that's part of the charm. The most popular departure points from Bali are Sanur Beach and, to a lesser extent, Padang Bai.
Departing from Sanur : the best option
Sanur is the most convenient and most recommended starting point. It's well connected to Seminyak, Kuta and Ubud by taxi or private transfer, and boats depart regularly throughout the morning from around 7:30am to 4:30pm.
Journey time: 30 to 45 minutes depending on the operator
Ticket price: between $15 and $35 USD depending on the company
Luggage: most operators allow one standard bag per person
Departing from Padang Bai
If you're coming from the east of Bali near Amed, Candidasa or straight from the airport via the eastern toll road : Padang Bai can be a practical alternative.
Journey time: approximately 1h30
Slower but often cheaper : around $10 to $15 USD
Fewer departure times, mostly in the morning
